All that it seems~
--Mud and ash caked up his sturdy legs, the mud was rich in vitamins and kept his hooves hard in all the time he had been there, but when it stayed soggy too long thrush and fungi was always quick to gnaw on his frogs.
--His coat was dark chocolate brown, fluffy and soft from nutrition he got through the lush, yet oddly colored, black grasses of the forest. When he had first come he was convinced that death was soon to follow; but after starving for a week he finally succumbed to choking down some of the seemingly deadly grasses. After that he had no desire to leave.
--The place was about as gloomy and frightening as anywhere he had ever seen, and whether this rich habitat was meant to draw him in and eat him, or keep others out he didn’t know, nor care at this point; not to mention if he wanted to leave his home all he had to do was wander over to the old meadows and rest in the grass.

Re: All that it seems~
White hooves daintily toed through the soft, supple mud, tail held high to avoid staining it's snow color. He had been chased into the gloomy forest by a pack of wolves, but they hadn't seemed to have followed past where the land before had ended. He was both thankful and wary; he could only imagine what would stop a wolf in it's tracks, and he didn't like the thought of it.
"Hello," he whinnied inquiringly, glancing about. "E-excuse me, but is anyone in here?"

Re: All that it seems~
His ears perked up to the gentle sounds of another animal, he couldn’t help but turn to see what it was. He could have sworn his pupils had shrunk at the sight of the other horse, the coloration reflecting what little light there was, right back at him.
“Why hello, what brings a little thing like you into a place like this?” He enquired, squinting for a moment to let his sight adjust.

Re: All that it seems~
Name: Kunami
Colour: Palomino
Breed: Arabian
Gender: Mare
Markings: Black Muzzle with White Blaze, 4 white socks and White mane and tail
Personality: Kind, caring, funny, smart and curious
Faults: Shy and sometimes may not trust stallions
Mate: None but she is looking!
Picture:
Kunami stepped lightly through the dead grass. It whispered beneath her feet and drowned out the gentle thudding of her hooves. She lowered her head and blew out heavily from her nose, making dust and dirt settle on her glossy palomino coat. She shook, making the dust fly off again and she started forward into a brisk trot. She stopped, smelling 2 other stallions.

Re: All that it seems~
Riff moved slowly, her long legs burning painfuly where she had bitten herself to the point of tears, barely able to bite back a scream that threatened to erupt from her lips. But no, she must suffer alone. In both silence and darkness. It was all her fault that it had happened. She should've stayed quiet, alone, chained by her own thoughts right to the ground, unable to move nor harm a hair on anyone's hide. But here she was, doomed to wander the earth in utter desparation. Her head hung low as she limped along, her red blood oozing to the ground in choked streams, blossoming in the snow like red roses "Where are the thorns?" she whispered, for her own benefit "Where are the thorns to hurt me as everything else does?". This place that reeked of death suited her perfectly, the dank, damp mist that streamed about her head clouded out any sound and sight. She did not dare to disturb the moment. The moment when she could finally be alone to scream out the pain that riveted deeply within her body, and as she screamed, something shattered, and she sobbed, her heart swelling sorely inside her thin chest. But alas, the mist was unforgiving, as it allowed only a muffled version of her plight, the version for the world to hear.

Kunami stopped at a large tree. The biggest tree of all. She sighed and lowered her head to the ground. A tear leaked down the corner of her face. Her mate had left her. She did not know where he went and now she did not care. She dropped to the ground, sobbing. The smell of death overwhelmed her and her eyes drifted slowly shut. This was what she wanted. What she needed. Sleep. To sleep forever.

Re: All that it seems~
Apache trotted through the dense forest, kicking his knees up and spraying ash and mud up behind him. His ears were pressed against his head and the scarred forest undergrowth was making him weary and agitated. Slowing to a walk, Apache stretched his head infront to smell his surroundings. An eagle squarked and Apache jumped back, his head upright and his eyes on stalks. That was when he heard another animal further ahead. He figured it would be a good way to go, because if anything can survive in this rundown place, it'd be worth a shot to go check it out.
Walking slowely and as quietly as he could, Apache crept up towards the noises. In a clearing infront of him, he saw two horses talking softly to eachother. Whinnying gently, he started forward out of the dead bushes and blew off some of the ash from his coloured coat.Apache bowed his head as the two horses looked round at him.

Kunami nickered softly as a stallion came close by. When he disappeared she sighed again and lowered her head. She looked around her, the bones, the blood, the dead trees. The spirits.

Re: All that it seems~
These newcomers, they seemed to upset what was left, trees rattles their protest, the smell of death crept into his lungs, the mud became cold, seeming to suck him down.
With a roan he pulled his hooves loose stepping over to a cleaner, harder patch of land. What would have upset the surrounding so suddenly?
With a high-stepped brisk pace he pranced through the mud past this new horse, glancing at the one nearer to him and nickering his greeting. Bent on finding out what would cause such a disturbance.

He wasn't sure what was going on, but he was getting more freaked out by the second. Cantering lightly towards the sounds of other horses (in which he was grateful for), he blinked at the sight of two stallions. With a whinny, he approached them happily with a spritely step, glad to find others.

Re: All that it seems~
Kunami rose slowly sighing. She lowered her head to the ground, her sides heaving in the smell of more than one stallion and another mare. She pricked her ears and followed the trail and scent of the stallion she saw not long ago. Her dainty hooves stepped carefully through the mud. It caked on her heels and she looked at them in disgust. She hated getting dirty.

Re: All that it seems~
Riff, in her despair, heard the sounds of other horses. Many of them. She heard them moving and their sounds of welcome, but she was far in her own thoughts for she did not know if she was ready to be approached, to speak to something other than the ground. But she would have loved for someone to come and ask, such a simple question, "Are you alright?". She wanted to die...so very badly. A craving that drove her to the peak of insanity, a craving that drove her to hurt herself, over and over, laughing yet crying when her rose-red blood fell to the ground in upset streams. But death never came. Prehaps the heavans enjoyed watching her plight? Prehaps they laughed at her mockingly, seeing her pain as entertainment?.
The mist tightened around her as she gasped for air, her chest screaming in pain. She was deprived of everything. Air, food, water, sleep....painfully waiting for the last straw. Until she heard the hooves of another

Stopping for a moment, he took a stab with his hoof at one of the tree roots. Remembering old tales told to him by his mother. Supposedly, if the forest became upset, as it supposedly was currently, the trees would bled their protest.
Upon scratching back the bark he saw nothing, wondering if such things were just old wise tails from the long past years. He moved on quickly, intent on finding the cause of this uproar, literally stumbling across another animal in the mud and planting himself face first marring his blaze and turning his chocolate brown coat a black color.
“Well… this isn’t particularly what I would call a graceful greeting. Why are you plopped down in the mud like a dead tree?” With his haunches on the other side of her and his forelegs tucked under his now mud caked chest the best he could do was try to get up quickly without falling back over like a complete moron.

Re: All that it seems~
Apache was now on full alert. Every movement made him think of bolting away, kicking ash up as he went in a strong canter, finding a large meadow with proper food and water. He knew he couldnt do that though.
Apache breathed in the scent of the other equines. Where had all these horses come from? The dying forest had nothing to offer horses. Darkness crept in again. It seemed like night never ended. His ears swiveled round and his eyes twitched back and forth. The other stallion had wandered off, and Apache heard more horses in the direction he went. Apache wandered towards them, the smaller horse following cautiously behind.

Re: All that it seems~
(OOC: Naw, he fell on Riff, from what I gathered she was down, since the mist is low to the ground and the whole choking and such, although I described a black horse... unless someone rolled in the mud when my now mud-clad stallion wasn't watching. I'll read over the RP a few more times and see if I missed something~And I often do. Though I know there was a part in there that put the image in my head that one of them was down in the mud, because I went and looked up the character on the forums to make sure I got a proper description. Following the RP Kunami is standing alone, Apache is about ready to flip, and Requiem's horse is probly sitting back and watching. Oh, and it's snowing... I think.... dirty snow! XD)

Re: All that it seems~
Kunami wandered into the area, her golden legs now splattered with mud. She was dirty and her mane and tail were tangled. She was once a horse who led a perfect life, witha perfect stallion until another mare came. She closed her eyes at the thought and shook it away. She looked at a stallion with a smaller one behind him. She nickered a nervous greeting.

Re: All that it seems~
He watched the scene and nickered at the palomino, unsure of whether she had been nickering at him or the other standing stallion but figured he'd answer anyway. Daintily stepping through the mud, he sniffed at things before glancing over the other horses again.
