I watch the stallion now, wide awake and saw him pause at the cliff. Struggling to my feet I watch, then seeing him debate, flashbacks of before ran before my eyes and I stayed where I was... If I scared him... he would fall... It's his choice...

I watch as he mouthed words I could not understand. I watch as he smiles at my. I watch as he fell. I sobbed, closing my eyes as I heard the crunch... then a scream... He was still alive? Still with my eyes tightly shut I felt my way to the edge of the cliff and open them, looking down. Yes, he was there, but his bones broken, crushed. I sob, but follow the steep path down to him.

I stop dead in my tracks as the faint sounds of broken bone moved against each other... Flicking my ears back and swishing my tail I tensed, waiting, waiting. He would have to stay here for a very long time if he did not want help... I shivered delicately at the thought of the carnivores.

I eye the broken stallion closely, blinking slowly. "Would you like my help?" I whisper, shaking violently from the cold already. I look up at the pitch black sky. How long until sunrise? I look back down at the stallion, my eyes narrowing slightly.

I reposition my stance, pushing into the stallion gently, trying not to tough his wounds. "Vladimir... I am Fight Back..." I laugh loudly, slightly hysterical. "Suits me I think." I ignore the staring, piercing eyes on my face and I take a small step forward. "Can you walk? At least to somewhere... safe?"

"Fingers?" I ask as I matched my legs to his unsteady walk. "You were with the humans?" I whisper, fear overtaking my voice so it choked out. I had heard, even witnessed what they did to some horses, and I didn't like it.

I nod to myself, taking in the stallion's words carefully. I pause for a second, bracing myself in case he needs more support than already and look around. I see some stong grass on a long plant and look at Vladimir. "Will that stuff do?" I whisper gently, nodding towards the plant.

I nod, slowly side-stepping gracefully so I could bend my head and snatch a piece of the sharp gras between my teeth. "There is a pond along this track, jsut further up. You can rest there." I sidle back to his side and take a step forward.

I laugh, darkly, loudly until the birds flutter from their nests in the tree tops. "If I told you that, I would have to kill you." I murmer, my eyes guarded now, my muscles slightly tense as my free walk became a tense strut.

I slow my stride slightly, matching it to his again, but my muscles were still tensed. "I can tell..." I murmer, flicking my ears toward the faint sound of water on rocks. "I come from a place far, far away... Where my happiness ruled and my life bloomed. Until one day-" I cut off with a choking sound and flicked my ears back into my dark mane. My eyes closed for a couple of seconds before I looked at the stallion from the corner of my eye. "We are nearly there." I said quickly, turning my head away.
