I look at the smaller mare beside me, casting my cool gaze over her shaped withers and back, taking pleasure from the faint sheen in her beautiful ash-like facade. The sounds of her words had drifted away as I duck my head, slowly pressing my lips to the base of her ear, nipping the flesh sweetly and moving away. My eyes were unfoccused and my breath rasped.

My step stuttered, but I regained as the stallion stumbled and I moved to his side again. I keep my head low, but I watched him from the corner of my eye. This stallion had wanted to challenge me before, but now he was actually... touching me! I wanted to run, to run away from this, but I couldn't leave him, not now, not him. I sigh gently and looked at him more curoiusly.
"What about your life?" I whisper. "It must be worth more than mine. Be a little more... less painful." I laugh, still slighty hysterical.
