~*As my world falls apart*~(Fleeting Sun)
Squellsh!
The noise echoed through the abandoned lands as a reddish bay mare moved through the chest high root-infested marsh. The noise was soon muffled however by an angry winny as the mud coated being leaped out of the water landing on higher grounds.
"You've got to be kidding me?!" ,Her biting tone ripped through the waterlogged trees. She stood there for only a short while before shivering and glancing up into the dense trees searching desperatly for a glimpse of sunlight. Across her back showed day old scars from some claw wound that kept twitching in slight pain as the mud kissed it.
The silence drifted away as a light patter of rainfall blanketed the area. The mare seemed to whimper as her head hung low her ears flicked back. As if pushed by an invisble force she slipped silently back into the water her once golden mane ,now brown with filth, covering her eyes. With her tail trailing behind her she moved farther into her new home.

C[r]y.pt-ic...
Mud. If there were one thing that could be vanquished from this world, and from all others, it would be mud. Followed by dandelions. Give me a terrible rash.
I lift my legs as high as they go, hitting my chest as I pranced and leaped through the mud. The worst thing that could happen now is if I crashed into a field of dandelions.
Then I would lie down and die, after attempting to leap into the sky and swim through clouds in order to get away.
I give a final Capriole worth leap, and land on slightly drier land. I fall to my knees and look up at the sky "Oh thank you God! I am forever thy servant...please, please, just promise me that there aren't any dandelions nearby..." I cry.
Standing up, I look around, glaring at my surroundings "CURSE YOU, MUD! CURSE YOU!" I yell, hysterically, moving further up until I reach a mound of slightly firmer land. I stand there, swaying in a slightly unhealthy way, nickering nervously.
I scan the area once more, and catch the sight of a flame, seemingly departed from it's candle. I watch, enchanted by the moving fire, before I move, quietly, following it's trail.
Ooc: ._. Apologies. The font is being a bastard, and I refuse to be belittled by my computer.

Despite the pouring rain the marshes kept very humid and sticky. As the red mare continued on through her new lands the rain continued to pour down on the canapy. reaching the grounds below only at less dense places. Her new resting place was one of those.
'Rain such a lovely wet soothing oh my god cold!' Her honey voice carried through the wetlands. Shivering at the new wetspot on her back she looked around eyeing her surroundings.
The elevated point provided an excellent view of the marshes. Dark trees burried in deep water gave little room for light to pass through though to provide the fine details. The murky water (by the smell was fresh), was cloudy with mud and algee. A thick forbidding looking haze covered most of the air feeling her lungs with the scent of set water. For some reaon there was no buzzing of bloodsuckers and pesky flys though dragonflies covered almost every square inch of the place with their colorful bodies and eye catching wings.
'Works for me they don't bite.' She though shaking her mane out of habit. Her laughing green eyes followed a path of a matching color dragon as it wove around and skimmed across the water. The bugs buzz created a light hum in the air at times even surpassing the roar of the rain which continued to poor.
Closing her eyes she let the hum of the dragons and the rain wash her troubles away. Her pelt though soaked showed patches of a clean coat as her mane and tail soon turned golden again. Though slightly annoying the rain cleaned the mud coated scar, revealing the deep cuts.
Thus the mud caked mare turned into the fiery bay once more.
OoC-Its alright

Re: ~*As my world falls apart*~(Fleeting Sun)
I follow the flame until it pauses, looking around before resting on it's knees-
Wait, what?Fire doesn't have knees...
I blinked and my breathing became ragged. Another horse? JOY! OH JOY!
I bound up to the horse, and drop to my knees, coming closer until my breath clouded her face...
Her face? JOYUS JOY! She's a she...
"H...hello..." I gasp, in excitement.
I look at her with large, balefull eyes and whisper "I hate...mud..."
Ooc: Oh great >.> My horse in real life can't stand mud either. Or dandelions xP

Re: ~*As my world falls apart*~(Fleeting Sun)
The mare now to her ture color was just drifting into a peaceful slumber when a soft sound met her ears. Lifting her head she watched as a tall stallion walked through the thick mists.
"Is this another trick? A mirage from those brushes perhaps." Her soft voice moved through the trees and mists. Her dulled green eyes followed the male half exspecting him to disapper in the mists. Yet the mirage kept moving towards me till he dropped beside me. It wasn't til his breath reached mine till I relized he wasn't a mirage.
I blinked and stared at him watching his chocolate eyes closely.
"If you hate mud right here is probably the worse place to be." Her voice spoke softly to him her fetlock covering half of her face revealing her black bald marking that surrounded her eyes.

Re: ~*As my world falls apart*~(Fleeting Sun)
I blinked at the mare in confusion "I'm not here by choice...far from it...in fact, if it weren't for the fact that I was washed-"
I cut myself off quickly and change the subject, with what I hoped was deftness "What are you doing here anyways?"
I look at her, softly, attempting to distract any qualms from my previous sentence.
Ooc: I give up with the right, center, left thing >.> This forum hates it.

The fiery mare flicked her ear back suspiciously while her eyes narrowed. Yet the softness of his eyes made her relax slightly.
"I have lived here for most of my life yet i was born in another." Blinking she stared out into the fog as if living in a memory. "I have very little memories of my past though."

Re: ~*As my world falls apart*~(Fleeting Sun)
I look around, visibly miserable.
"Of all the places, I wind up here...please...just tell me before I have to find out myself...are there any dandelions here?"
I shuddered, thinking of the ghastly rash that I recieved just thinking about them.
I look at my legs with worry.

Re: ~*As my world falls apart*~(Fleeting Sun)
Flicking her ear back her eyes started to water as her whole body vibrated. Letting out a snort of laughter she got up, shaking with each chuckle. Unable to hold it in she laughed the forest became lighter and welcoming.
"Nope. No dandelions." Her eyes twinkled in amusement, her eyes going from a forest green to pure jade with each chuckle. Bending her neck she looked deep into his chocolate eyes. Careful with her newly opened scars.
"I'm Fleeting Sun and welcome to Rootville, my home." A echo of thunder flew through the dark forest as if in agreement. Hovering around them the dragonflies answered its call with their own humming away.

Re: ~*As my world falls apart*~(Fleeting Sun)
I look at the mare laughing, getting brighter and brighter with each enchanting chuckle that escapes her lips.
I look at her, and smile softly "I am glad that I provide entertainment to the fair Sun..." I murmur, nodding to myself.
"I am Cryptic...I used to be something else...something longer but I kept forgetting..."
I look around, and take a deep breath. The mud was...refreshingly cool in one way...
I shudder and blink.
Where did these thoughts come from...?

Her laughs quited it down to a chuckle before fading away with the mists. Her eyes were soft and bright as she turned to him, a light smile on her face.
"Its good to laugh in a place like this once in a while. Makes the feeling of dread less threatening."
Nodding to him she bowed her head slightly in agreement. Her green eyes sparkled in the fading light as the storm continued to roar around them.
"Well Cryptic I welcome you to my home.Feel free to stay unless you wish to leave na find a place less..", She paused lifting her back hoof out of the mud an annoyed look on her face. "Muddy."
