Havoc...

I walked silently along the well-worn track, following the fresh scent of another horse.... I lifted my head...
Mare or stallion? I couldn't tell from here...
Friend or Foe? I'll soon find out. The little phrase I made for myself ran through my head... but at the moment it wasn't true... or was it? They could have gone... I am alone... all alone. I am sad... too sad. I am free... too free.

I started up the small hill again, reaching the top without even raising a heartbeat. MyWhite mane fluttered free in the wind and my tail streamed out behind me. I kept my muscles tensed as I searched the land below.... looking for the other horse.

I am alone... all alone. I am sad... too sad. I am free... too free.
Rewind - Back It Up!

I startle back, but stopped. My nostrils were flared, but my ears were pricked. I watched carefully as the horse came forward. I stepped back. I answered his call nervously, but then no more. I moved not. I barely breathed, and my tail flicked nervously from side to side. I was nervous, but keen to know this stranger... I was young... and alone.
"Hello!" I called out, my voice keen with confidence.
I am alone... All alone. I am sad... Too sad. I am free... Too free.

I turned my head towards my right, then my left, my instincts screaming at me to run. I couldn't though... my curiousity telling me to stay. I flared my nostrils wider and my eyes studied the stallion's expression warily. My lips twitched as he showed off and I ached my own neck, my dished head tucking into my chest.
"I'm Back It Up, but I'm cool with Rewind." My white teeth flashed in the sun as I threw a dazzling smile towards him. Wow. He's... interestingly... handsome.... I giggled, lowering my head slightly so I could study him more closely. Very....

My side burned as he moved away and I bow my head to him.
"Th...Thank you." I whisper, smiling widely. I flared my nostrils slightly as I raised my head to look the stallion in his eyes. That was when I noticed they were different. I cocked my head to the side, my eyes flickering between his blue and warm brown eye. I smile again and watch him move away slightly.
"Is this your land, or are you just visiting?" I inquired, eyeing the flat Marsh. The slight scent of big animals, hunters, our enemies, lingered to my black nostrils as a shudder ran the length of my spine, under my sleek, black pelt. I flicked my ears back at the new smell, un-familiar to me, but very familiar to my danger instincts.

I rolled my eyes, but the wind was roaring behind me, ready to push me forward, and I was the wind. I should be fast forward... not Rewind... I shuddered at my name slightly, but then stopped. The stallion... it seemed... different when he spoke my name. I beamed and stretched o9ut my forelegs, springing into an easy gallop, my neck stretched out in front of my and myears flat back in mywhite whipping mane. I snorted softly and forced myself faster, throwing my head up with a happy neigh to the stallion now just metres in front.
My legs stretched forward, easily matching the stallion's long strides and I threw my head up again, the wind playing with my mane... Fast forward... Rewind... Free... Too Free.... Alone... Not alone... I gave the stallion a playful nip as I slowed to a bouncy, playful canter, in the middle of the marsh. It was beautiful... yet somehow gloomy a little... I danced in the middle of the marsh, my legs lifting high and my neck arched. How long had it been since I had felt this... alive? 2, 3 years? Maybe more? I smiled slightly at the memories and pranced happily over to the stallion.
"It's beautiful...." I breathed, then my own territory flashed back in front of me. I gasped as I realise that I have left it un-protected, but then I shurgged slightly, leaning my nose against Havoc's brow, breathing in slowly, taking in his musk tail.

(Sorry about the length of my posts... I never usually post this much, I just have this... connecttion with Rewind that I don't have with many of my charries. She's sort of based around how I would describe myself sort of... not exactly the same... =D. Don't feel like you have to post so much to keep up, I just like to type... -Shakes head in annoyance- Well... that's me. XD)

(Late? Oh. I don't mind. I've only been on more often than usual 'cause I'm listening to my book. I really don't mind. I just reply when I can. I won't be on much, in any, at all tomorrow as I have visitors coming over, but the day after, I shall be on nearly all day as I will be home all day. DOing nothing. As per usual. Really, don't worry about when you come on, I really don't mind. I don't want to... disrupt your own life... =D. Dw, writor's blocks... they are fairly common. -Shudders- hehe.)

I smiled and lifted my head, calling out softly and trotted over, my black legs lifting high. I tilted my head to the side slightly as I stopped in front of the stallion and my neck muscles rippled slightly under my coal black coat. My white mane fell in my eyes as I beamed at the stallion.
"I think Rewind would have more pleasure lying down with Havoc, than she has felt in a long time." Me, again with the 3rd person. I sighed internally as more images flashed through ym head, but I pushed them back, to the back of my mind. I walked carefully forward, careful not to tread on the stallion as I let my legs collapse underneath me, covering Havoc with the disturbance of dust I caused when I sat down with a 'humph.' I leaned my body against him, soaking up the warmth, happy and content.

I tilted my head to the side, eyeing Havoc, my eyes slightly amused. My smiled widened, if that was possible, and I closed my eyes, feeling his warmth and the sudden coolness to the evening as the shadows covered my already dark frame. My nostrils flared as the stallion's musky and slightly floral scent mingled with the scent of pinecones, fresh water and the life around us. I shuffled slightly closer to keep myself warm and felt myself, still radiant with my un-touched happiness, drift off slowly, although not totally un-concious.

I opened my eyes now, my sarcasm burning deep into my words that were forming on my tongue.
"No. Of course I'm not... I'm just totally wide awake, my eyes are just drifting shut of their own accord." I laughed. At least eh last part were true. i followed his gaze up to the sky and sighed heavily.

(I'm debating on whether or not I should...It goes against my nature... -Smiles evilly- Then again... Oh. Poor Lucid.... -Sniffles-)

I frowned, the hurt cutting deep into my chest. I got up quickly and cantered over smoothly, the silver moonlight casting a faint silver shimmer to my coat.
"What was all that about?" I tried very much not to let the hurt touch my voice as I came up to stand beside him, also not succeeding in keeping it out of my eyes either.

I snorted softly. Anger, curiosity and slight annoyance showed in my expression as I cantered after him, nipping his rump softly.
"I think I'll survive for a little while longer." I muttered, turning my head to the side slightly. My nostrils flared and my ears twitched back in annoyance. Stallions! My eyes darted over the shimmering coat of Havoc beside me, watching his large muscles rippling under his sleek coat. I watched as the moonlight threw patterns over his soft, sleek pelt. The silvery glow cast it's own patterns in my own black coat, playing softly, turning my mane and tail into a silver stream. I smiled and archesd my neck, throwing my tail out behind me carelessly. I couldn't see what it did, but I had a faint idea. Show off. I smirked to myself.
